GPP Software takes your privacy seriously. The following explains our Privacy and Security policy.
What this Policy Covers
This Policy covers the treatment of personally identifiable information which GPP Software collects when you sign up and use GPP Software SiteNet.
Information Collection and Use
GPP Software collects personally identifiable information when you join GPP Software SiteNet.
When you join GPP Software SiteNet, we ask for your name and email address. Once you join or Login to SiteNet, you are not anonymous to us.
GPP Software collects the information for the use of the administrators of the sites you may join. This is so that site administrators know who their members are. By creating and maintaining a site with membership options, site administrators agree that they will not disclose data to others. Non-compliance will result in instant closure of a site by GPP Software.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
GPP Software is not connected or affiliated in any way with any other organisations.
We do not disclose (whether by the SiteNet system or any other means), sell or rent personal details to anyone or any organisation and we do not take part in 'spamming'.
It is recommended that members do not supply personal details in e-mail records posted on sites because they may be made publically available depending on the configuration of a site.
GPP Software SiteNet does not disclose e-mail addresses stored in the SiteNet databases.
We will however, disclose information if requested to do so by subpoenas, court orders or legal processes.
Updating your Personal Information
A member of GPP Software SiteNet can at any time view on-line the information which is held about them in 'My Options' and they can correct it for themselves. The details are common to all sites to which a member belongs.
You can also change various options and preferences within the system.
GPP Software SiteNet is entirely 'opt in' and you can resign from any site at any time using the 'Resign from Site' option.
Password Protection
Your GPP Software SiteNet membership information is password-protected for your privacy and security.
Personal details are gathered when joining SiteNet to discourage the use of false/pseudo names.
Security
Much has been written about Internet security and the dangers of supplying credit card details online. We understand your concern with Internet Security. However, it is actually safer to order a product through SiteNet over the Internet than to purchase through most other systems.
SiteNet uses Secure Socket Layers (SSL) when handling payments. This ensures that your sensitive information is inaccessable. Your personal information is encrypted using RSA public key encryption, which means that even if somebody was able to obtain the information you submit, it would be worthless to them.
Also, with our e-Commerce system, you enter information at your computer and it goes directly into our order processing system with no human intervention. Your credit card number is not stored nor copied on a receipt like it is with most walk-in merchants. Our ordering system has been designed with your privacy and security as our primary concern.
Breaches of Privacy or Security
Breaches of privacy or Security should be notified to GPP Software immediately so that appropriate action can be taken.
Changes to this Policy
GPP Software may change this policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes we will notify you by updating this page or notifying site administrators.
